Summer Intensive
Join us for our summer intensives of dancing in ballet, jazz, hip hop, contemporary, and musical theatre with 5 great guest artists from across the country. We have three different intensive programs; the mini, the full, and the partial program.
The mini-program will be for children 5-7, while the full and partial program will be for children ages 8 and up.
The full intensive program is an additional 4 days with technique focus with 3 out of the 5 instructors.
The partial intensive program will have separate skill levels that all dancers will audition for on the first day of the intensive. There will be five daily classes in all genres with a showcase at the end of the week. Prices vary between the three programs. June 10th at CMU Robinson Theatre. There will be a showcase for the kids that just participated in the Partial/Full . To show everyone what they learned over time.

Ryan "Bosco" Baker
Hip Hop l Guest Artist
Bosco is a dancer, instructor and choreographer with over 15 years of experience in the performance industry. His performance credits include So You Think You Can Dance, Missy Elliot, American Idol, Play Station, The Voice, You Got Served, Pink, Shake It Up, Chris Brown, 50 Cent, and the MTV Movie Awards. With Bosco Dance Tour, he has had the privilege of teaching at over 170 wonderful schools and studios and is continually updating and creating new items for BDT Clothing, and loves showcasing his photo & video skills through Look Fly Productions. history.

Tanner Blee
Ballet I Guest Artist
Tanner Blee, from Grand Junction, CO, started his training with Absolute Dance. He received additional dance training at Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, Boston Ballet, and Pacific Northwest Ballet, and has danced with Orlando Ballet II and Nashville Ballet II. Tanner has performed as Bluebird and Prince Florimund in The Sleeping Beauty, as Conrad in Le Corsaire, as the Lead Male in Raymonda, as James in La Sylphide, Snow King and Sugar Plum Cavalier in The Nutcracker. He joined State Street Ballet in 2018.

Adam Parson
Jazz I Guest Artist
Adam Parson is well known for his multifaceted award-winning choreography, and his unique approach to music makes him a sought after choreographer in the dance industry. He has danced for stage, film, TV and industrials such as Fila, NBC, Redken, Power Rangers(Blue Ranger), Prince, Monica, Pepsi, Shell Oil and performed as the principal dancer in the Ballet "Rodeo" at the White House for President Bill Clinton. The LA Times critics have said his choreography is "refreshingly original and various in his scope and theme" and Dance Magazine named him "One to watch". He has choreographed projects such as So You Think You Can Dance Australia, Redken Hair industrials, created duets for the Prima Ballerina of Seoul National Ballet and the Prima Ballerina of Ballet Folklorico de Mexico.He is the founder and artistic director of commonality his dance company that has toured the United States, Mexico, South Korea, and Europe.

Amy Gard
Jazz Funk I Guest Artist
Amy is a proud (almost) native of Colorado, moving throughout the state since she was three years old. She began her dance training at the age of 10 and has been teaching and choreographing since 2006. She attended Mesa State College as both a Dance and Mass Communications major under the instruction of Melonie Buchanan Murray and Matthew Lindstrom and had the pleasure of working with artists such as Adam Parson, Caitlin Gray, Holly Lampe, and Leslie Meek during her time there. Amy moved to Denver in 2010 where she has had the tremendous experience of functioning as the Administrative Director at a pre-professional ballet academy and as the Competition Director of a competitive studio over the course of eight years. In addition to creating a number of award-winning pieces for her home studios, Amy has also helped foster the development of young choreographers in both solo and group settings. She has guest choreographed at a number of studios throughout Denver and across the U.S., as well as taught at numerous summer intensives. Amy continues to coach the Colorado School of Mines dance team, which she began in 2011, and has performed with companies such as the Aspen Santa Fe Dance Connection and Mind & Body Dance Theater. She also enjoys working with area high schools on musical theater productions, including her time spent at Arvada West High School choreographing "Footloose". She appreciates all dance styles but particularly loves working in a variety of genres including contemporary, hip hop, jazz, lyrical, and tap.

Kate Mina
Lyrical I Guest Artist
Kate is a Colorado native with over 10 years of teaching and choreography experience in a variety of genres including tap, lyrical, contemporary, jazz and musical theater. She grew up in Colorado Springs where she danced at Robin's Danceworks under the direction of Robin Moore, performing and competing for 11 years both regionally and nationally. Her teaching career began at her home studio in 2008 where she instantly fell in love with instructing and choreographing. Kate graduated in 2013 Summa Cum Laude from Rider University in New Jersey with a degree in Sociology, where she also studied dance under the direction of Dr. Kim Vaccaro and the faculty of the Princeton Ballet School and the American Repertory Ballet. Kate served as the President of the Rider Dance Ensemble, an opportunity that allowed her to direct multiple dance productions and choreograph pieces in various styles for shows and events. She has taught at workshops and intensives in Colorado and New Jersey. She earned her Master of Social Work Degree at the University of Denver in 2015 and worked as a full-time School Social Worker for four years. Kate has taught and choreographed at a competitive studio in the Denver area for six years where she also served as the Tap Director for her last four. Her choreography in both tap and contemporary have received awards at a number of competitions over the years and earned her an invitation to the Dance Teacher Summit.
