Brieana Carillo (formerly Lavery, is our primary hip hop instructor. She grew up dancing in the Grand Valley at the early age of four. Studying various styles of dance such as ballet, jazz, tap, and modern from various instructors. Brie began traveling to competitions and conventions which is where she took her first shot at hip hop and ever since has grown a new passion for the dance style. Along the way Brie has had opportunities to take master classes and workshops from some of today's most notorious dancers/choreographers such as, Wade Robson, Shane Sparks, Tabitha and Napoleon D'Uma, Chris Judd, Andre Fuentes, Stevie Ray Anthony and many others. She has won several awards and scholarships for her dancing talents and creative choreography. Sharing her love and passion for dance, Brie began teaching in 2003. Since then she has been able to instill in dancers one of her greatest dance traits, confidence. Her students love the energetic upbeat approach she has to offer, plus she teaches them to utilize their own personality and style as a dancer and most important to dance from the heart.rieana Carillo (formerly Lavery, congrats!), is our primary hip hop instructor. Emily Kampf has over 10 years of professional dance experience performing with Kim Robards Dance, David Taylor Dance Theatre, Opera Colorado, and numerous independent choreographers. Her career has travelled her around the country from coast to coast. She has been reviewed by the NY Times and performed in Beijing, China during the 2008 Olympics. Locally, Emily performed and choreographed for the Cabaret Dinner Theatre and has performed with Beyond Boundaries. She has taught classes at Mesa State College, Colorado State University, the Snowy Range Dance Festival, as well as outreach teaching
throughout Denver and the state of Colorado. Emily received a BS in Biology from Mesa State College in 2005 and is currently working toward her BS in Nursing.

Brooke Wegener has a diverse background in dance with an emphasis in ballet. Growing up in Lincoln, Nebraska, she primarily trained with an instructor who danced with Balanchine, which is reflected in her style of teaching. Brooke has been dancing for twenty-five years and has experience with all types of dance. As a young adult, she competed with studio competition groups as well as winning awards for self-choreographed pieces. She also attended the Academy of Colorado Ballet and Dance Aspen receiving technique instruction from a wide range of instructors. In addition to her focus on ballet and
technique, Brooke was also on the dance team at her high school, making it to the national competition twice. Individually, she won the UDA All-Star award and was co-captain one of her three years on the team. She was also on the dance team at Truman State University before she transferred. Brooke graduated from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln with Bachelor’s degrees in Design (Interior Design)and Business Administration. She has been in Grand Junction since 2006 and is a professional interior designer.
"Natasha Krasnow has been dancing for over twenty years and has extensive training in many dance genres. She graduated in 2008 from Mesa State College with a degree in Theatre Arts: Dance and a minor in Anthropology. At Mesa State, Natasha danced on scholarship and was chosen to work with numerous guest choreographers. In her senior year she was chosen the most outstanding modern dancer in the department. Natasha also studied dance at the Univeristy of Kansas and, while there, had opportunities to study with members of prestigious companies of many different dance genres. Natasha has taught dance for eight years and has experience teaching and choreographing for all ages in many styles, including creative movement, pre-ballet, tap, jazz, ballet, pointe, hip hop, middle eastern and hula."

Mary "Mischala" Krasnow has been a significant presence in Middle Eastern Dance in our Grand Junction community for more than 30 years. Over the years, she has shared the joy of this unique art form with many students and audiences. Mischala teaches classes in “American Style” Middle Eastern Dance with occasional touches of Tribal, Cabaret, and Fusion styles. She has studied with nationally and internationally renowned dancers, including but not limited to, Paola Blanton of Sao Paulo, Brazil, Morocco of New York City, Suhaila Salimpour of San Francisco, Amaya of Albuquerque, Delilah of Seattle, Suzanna Del Vecchio, Joynan, and Phoenix of Denver, Jamila and Calypso of Salt Lake City, and the extraordinary Aziz. Mischala also has a background in Ballet, Jazz, and Tap as well as Polynesian Dance and Anusara Yoga. Mischala and her daughter, Natasha "Jamra" Krasnow, are co-directors of Khubsurat Ruh Middle Eastern Dance Troupe

Vickie grew up in Lander, Wyoming where she trained in ballet, jazz, modern, tap, and clogging. Since the age of 9, Vickie has traveled to competitions in Casper, Denver, and Las Vegas. She has been dancing for 16 years and has had the opportunity to perform in Washington D.C., New York City, and at Disney World in Orlando, Florida. Vickie moved to Grand Junction in 2005 to continue her education in dance at Mesa State College where she got to perform choreography by Tony Coppola, Jay Franke, Holly Lampe, and many more. She graduated in 2008 with a degree. She also has been teaching Bodyflow and Floor Barre at Crossroads Fitness for two years. Vickie is excited to get back to teaching dance and working with kids again.
